Before he began his legal career at Brown Sims, Andrew
Cooper worked for a non-profit criminal defense group in Louisiana. There
he learned the importance of dedication and diligence in high-stakes legal
matters and was able to achieve remarkable results for those he represented. In the civil litigation
area, he applies these skills to achieve the best results for his clients. He
believes the most effective attorney is one who can operate with shrewdness
and skill on both sides of the docket.
Mr. Cooper is based out of the firm’s New Orleans office and contributes
to organizations that raise money for education in Africa and toy drives and
hunger relief efforts in Texas and Louisiana. He earned a Bachelor of
Arts, magna cum laude, from Pepperdine University in 1991, and a Master of
Arts in 1995. He earned his Doctor of Jurisprudence from the University of
Texas at Austin in 1999.
