While Charles Conrad’s primary practice is litigation, he routinely assists clients with day-to-day business affairs, including the drafting of contracts, preparation of release and indemnity agreements, and serving as corporate counsel for them.

Mr. Conrad approaches all aspects of the litigation process with an enormous amount of intensity, especially when it comes to pleadings, motions, and depositions. As a result, he has enjoyed notable success in his motion and trial practice.

Mr. Conrad applies the same intensity when resolving disputes for his client. For example, he recently represented one of his carrier clients in a first party claim for the loss of an electric transformer worth approximately $1.5 million. Because of additional claims, the client was faced with a potential exposure of two-to-three times that amount. Mr. Conrad was able to successfully mediate the matter, resulting in a resolution that saved his client an enormous amount of money.

Mr. Conrad has also enjoyed great success with a number of summary judgments in highly contested cases. In a particularly hard fought case, he successfully argued and won a summary judgment for his client. The plaintiff appealed and Mr. Conrad successfully defended the judgment before the Court of Appeals.

A graduate of the University of Texas at Austin, Mr. Conrad earned his Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) degree in 2000 and his Doctorate of Jurisprudence from South Texas College of Law in 2003.

He is a member of the State Bar of Texas; Texas Young Lawyers Association; American Bar Association, Litigation, Tort & Insurance, Health Law Section; Texas Trial Lawyers Association and the Houston Bar Association.

Mr. Conrad enjoys supporting his alma mater by being a volunteer judge of mock trial and moot court competitions at South Texas College of Law. He is also a member of the Kappa Alpha fraternity and works with Bo's Buddies Charity, a non-profit organization that offers grief support services to children and their families who have experienced the death of a parent or sibling.
