Before joining Brown Sims, Mr. Cruz litigated personal injury claims as in-house trial counsel for a large auto insurance carrier. Presently, the majority of Mr. Cruz’ work centers on defending workers’ compensation, catastrophic injury, and wrongful death claims.

Mr. Cruz graduated from Northern Arizona University in 1999 with a dual Bachelor of Arts in History and Anthropology. In addition to graduating summa cum laude, Mr. Cruz was named Outstanding Graduating Senior and was the recipient of the Outstanding Academic Achievement Award for the College of Arts and Sciences.

Mr. Cruz attended the College of Law at Florida International University where he received his Juris Doctor Degree in 2006.
