The majority of Mr. Tobin’s work focuses on defending employers in the offshore marine industry under the Longshore and Harbor Workers’ Compensation Act. In addition, he also offers expertise in handling general personal injury and insurance defense claims.
Mr. Tobin received a Bachelor of Arts in Managerial Studies from Rice University in 1999 and received a Doctor of Jurisprudence from South Texas College of Law in 2006.
Mr. Tobin was admitted to the Texas State Bar in November 2006. He is a Member of the American Bar Association, Texas Young Lawyers Association, and Houston Young Lawyers Association.
During law school, Mr. Tobin clerked for the Honorable Judge Elizabeth Ray in the 165th Civil District Court of Harris County, Texas, and also spent two years clerking for a law firm that specializes in defending insurance companies against personal injury claims.
Prior to attending law school, Mr. Tobin was a market analyst for a real estate market research and consulting firm in Houston, Texas, and had articles published in the Houston Business Journal, MARCOA Houston Industrial and Retail Guide, Houston Real Estate Directory News, and BOMA Office & Commercial Real Estate Magazine.
Mr. Tobin serves on the Advisory Council for Raise Your Hand Texas in support of Texas public schools, and he is an active member of Palmer Memorial Episcopal Church. |
