Mr. Belsky received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Texas at Austin with major fields of study in Linguistics and Government. Mr. Belsky received his law degree from South Texas College of Law and was admitted to the State Bar of Texas in 2010.

In practice, Mr. Belsky focuses on the defense of maritime suits including claims arising under the Longshore and Harbor Workers’ Compensation Act, claims under the Jones Act and otherwise available to seaman, and claims involving general maritime law. Mr. Belsky also practices in labor and insurance law.

Mr. Belsky has a diverse background including more than a decade of work as a camera and lighting operator in the Texas and California motion picture industries. He remains involved as head of the labor organization representing film crews across Texas. Mr. Belsky additionally serves on the Comptroller’s Moving Image Advisory Council and was part of the team that helped revitalize Texas film production by successfully lobbying the legislature for filmmaking incentives in 2007 and 2009.

Outside the workplace, Mr. Belsky is an avid motorsports enthusiast, competitor, machinist, and fabricator with an interest in all things mechanical.
