Mr. Guillory began the defense of employers under the Longshore Act and its extensions in 1991. Since that time, he has appeared before administrative law judges and the U.S. Department of Labor in the defense of employers throughout the continental United States. Mr. Guillory has also gained trial experience as an assistant district attorney in New Orleans. He believes that a client should be advised of the advantages and risks of trial very early in the litigation process and that the client’s goals are of utmost importance in the decision to try a case or to resolve it by means of a favorable settlement. “I see the client as a partner in bringing a case to best possible outcome given all of the circumstances of the case.” Mr. Guillory believes that it is critical to present information to clients in clear, concise terms in order to facilitate client decision making.
Mr. Guillory has resided in New Orleans for most of his life and practices in the New Orleans office. He has been a member of the Young Leadership Council, a New Orleans volunteer group, as well as Mensa. He has a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Loyola University. In his last semester of undergraduate studies, Mr. Guillory served as an intern performing intelligence analysis at the U. S. Department of State, Bureau of Intelligence and Research, Office of Politico-Military Affairs. He earned his juris doctorate from Loyola University in 1989. |
