Overview

Mr. Kelly has over 26 years' experience in trucking/motor vehicle accidents, negligent security, professional, premises, product liability and first party property litigation. He currently manages a docket of premises liability, product liability, trucking & motor vehicle accident pre-suit and litigation matters, with a team including associates, paralegals, and support staff, as well as experts and consultants where necessary.

Before joining Brown Sims, Andreas worked for Florida insurance defense firms as panel counsel for several national & Florida insurers, in trucking & motor vehicle defense, first party property defense, and premises & product liability defense. He previously worked as a solo practitioner, representing individuals and businesses in automobile accident negligence, personal injury, commercial and foreclosure litigation. In 2017, Andreas was certified as a mediator by the Florida Supreme Court in Circuit Civil Courts.
During the COVID-19 period when litigation was stalled, Mr. Kelly implemented a pre-suit voluntary protocol in trucking & motor vehicle claims, to assist in resolving those claims on behalf of insurers. That protocol provided for limited informal discovery and a settlement conference (with or without a mediator) and was highly effective in reducing a bottle-necking docket and resulted in early resolution of claims at favorable settlement ranges.

In 2025, Mr. Kelly obtained his Executive LLM in Litigation Management from Baylor Law School. This program focused on analyzing litigation as project management, and enhancing best practices, to develop more efficient and more effective litigation protocols, utilizing well-established business principles as applied to the practice of litigation. This advanced degree has contributed to the institution of business practices that have assisted in reaching mutually beneficial goals for his clients.

Mr. Kelly is the president of his homeowners' association, a position he has cumulatively held for close to 16 of the past 22 years. He is active in his church and spends his free time with his wife and children and their two dogs. He is fluent in German and has a basic understanding of Spanish.
