Mr. Layne focuses his practice primarily on high exposure commercial motor vehicle accidents, product defects, and premises defects that result in catastrophic injury and wrongful deaths. He has represented individuals and businesses through all stages of litigation in both state and federal court.

Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with family, coaching his son's and daughter’s sports teams, and playing golf.

  • Obtained summary judgement for a parent company in a personal injury lawsuit arising from a commercial motor vehicle accident.
  • Successfully moved to strike and exclude opposing counsel’s purported transportation safety expert on the grounds his opinions were not relevant or reliable.
