Ed Rainey

Mr. Rainey is a seasoned trial and appellate attorney with extensive experience handling complex commercial, business, personal injury, and civil litigation in state and federal courts. Throughout his career, he has represented clients in high-stakes disputes across a broad range of industries, combining strategic advocacy with practical business insight to achieve favorable results. He Rainey has the rare distinction of qualifying for the multi-million dollar advocates forum as a plaintiff's attorney and an unblemished record in trial outcomes as a defense attorney.

Mr. Rainey has successfully obtained emergency injunctive relief in both state and federal courts, protecting clients' interests when immediate action was required. He has tried more than a dozen cases to verdict and has argued appeals before the federal Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals, and multiple Texas state appellate courts.

Over the course of his practice, Mr. Rainey has handled matters involving breach of contract disputes, business fraud claims, commercial leasing controversies, construction defect and injury litigation, employment disputes, manufacturer-distributor conflicts, mass torts, product liability and product recall matters, catastrophic personal injury claims, and wrongful death actions. His extensive litigation experience allows him to effectively guide clients through every stage of a dispute, from pre-suit strategy and emergency proceedings through trial and appeal.

Known for his thoughtful counsel and courtroom advocacy, Mr. Rainey works closely with clients to develop practical solutions tailored to their business objectives and litigation risks. In addition to his successful career as a civil litigator, one of Mr. Rainey’s proudest achievements was obtaining a case dismissal in a criminal case involving racial profiling with what the judge called “the best motion to suppress I have ever read.”

A graduate of the University of Colorado School of Law – Boulder, Mr. Rainey’s academic foundation also includes a degree in biophysical chemistry and studies in aerospace engineering and economics. With a working proficiency in Spanish, Mr. Rainey engages with a diverse set of clients and opposing parties.

Outside of work, Mr. Rainey enjoys training for marathons with his wife and running friends, working out at the gym, training his teenage son in sprinting, and practicing Spanish.
