Overview
Mr. Matte’s practice focuses on matters arising under the Defense Base Act, the Longshore and Harbor Workers’ Compensation Act, and the War Hazards Compensation Act. Prior to joining Brown Sims, he served as a law clerk and staff attorney with the U.S. Department of Labor, Office of Administrative Law Judges, and as an Assistant Attorney General with the Louisiana Department of Justice. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and a Juris Doctor from the Louisiana State University Paul M. Hebert Law Center.
