Marissa Lenoir

Ms. Lenoir's practice focuses on claims brought under the Longshore and Harbor Workers' Compensation Act and the Defense Base Act.

Prior to joining Brown Sims, Ms. Lenoir represented vessel owners, terminal operators, and their insurers in a broad array of maritime and general business litigation, including allisions, collisions, cargo damage claims, dockage fee disputes, franchise agreements, and claims brought under the Jones Act.

She earned a B.A. with honors from Grinnell College, an M.A. from Duke University, and a J.D., cum laude, from Tulane Law School with a certificate in maritime law.  During law school, Ms. Lenoir worked with the United States Coast Guard and a vessel manufacturer in New Orleans.  

Outside of the office, Ms. Lenoir loves people, animals, and art.  She is a supporter of Shriners Children's Hospital, Catholic Hospice, Loggerhead Marinelife Center, the Animal Humane Society, PAWS Shelter of Central Texas, and The Ella Project in New Orleans.
