Overview
Mr. Conn focuses his practice on personal injury defense, including motor vehicle and commercial motor vehicle accidents, premises liability, wrongful death, and catastrophic injury claims.
Before joining the firm, Mr. Conn practiced at a prominent Texas plaintiff’s personal injury firm. He began by handling pre-litigation matters from start to finish before moving into the litigation department as a briefing attorney. In that role, he drafted dispositive and non-dispositive motions, responses, replies, and internal briefs, argued motions in court, and helped prepare responses to petitions for writ of mandamus. He also led the trial preparation for a case that resulted in a win at trial. That time on the other side of the docket gives Mr. Conn firsthand insight into how plaintiffs’ firms evaluate, build, and litigate claims, and he now puts that perspective to work for the firm’s clients.
Mr. Conn earned his B.A. in Philosophy, cum laude, from Washington State University in 2020, and his J.D. and Diploma in Comparative Law from Louisiana State University’s Paul M. Hebert Law Center in 2024. In law school, he served on the Board of Advocates and competed in internal and external mock trial competitions. He also externed with the Louisiana Attorney General’s Office, where he researched and drafted briefs and memoranda on state and federal matters. He later returned to his home state of Washington as a prosecutor for the City of Wenatchee, appearing in court on the City’s behalf under a limited law student license and assisting at trials.
Originally from Washington, Mr. Conn has embraced his new home and enjoys exploring everything Houston and the surrounding areas have to offer. Outside of work, he can usually be found in the garage tending to his first car, a 2006 Ford Mustang, that still drives like a dream (most of the time) at over 200,000 miles, or his custom bobber motorcycle, a 2005 Suzuki Boulevard, which he rode cross-country to Louisiana. When he isn’t wrenching, he enjoys weightlifting and relaxed days at home with his wife and their four cats: Jude, Oliver, Ahri, and Luce.
