Overview

Ms. Canal’s practice focuses primarily on defense claims arising under the Longshore Harbor Workers’ Compensation Act (LHWCA) and the Defense Base Act (DBA).

Ms. Canal earned her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, summa cum laude, from Prairie View A&M University in 2020 and her Juris Doctor, cum laude, from the University of Florida Levin College of Law in 2025.

While in law school, Ms. Canal was recognized for her leadership and outstanding service to the University of Florida Levin College of Law community, receiving the Dean’s Leadership Award. She served as Vice President of the Student Bar Association and as Executive Vice President of the Alternative Dispute Resolution Team.

A native Houstonian, Ms. Canal enjoys traveling, staying active, and spending time with her husband and their four dogs.
