Most of Ms. Johnson’s work focuses on the defense of claims under the Longshore and Harbor Workers’ Compensation Act and the Defense Base Act.
Ms. Johnson received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Houston in 2015 and graduated summa cum lade from Thurgood Marshall School of Law in 2020.
While in law school, Ms. Johnson participated in Thurgood Marshall School of Law’s Law Review and published articles for both the school’s Law Review and Law Journal. She received CALI Excellence for the Future Awards for Constitutional Law, Employment Law, Consumer Law, and Professional Responsibility. During her tenure in law school, she served as an academic tutor and coordinated events for local elementary schools such as Constitution in the Classroom.
Prior to working at Brown Sims, Ms. Johnson served as an employment hearing officer and a legal tax consultant. She was admitted to practice in Texas in April 2021.
