Most of Ms. Demeris’ work focuses on the defense of claims arising under the Longshore and Harbor Workers’ Compensation Act (LHWCA) and the Defense Base Act (DBA).
Ms. Demeris earned her Bachelor of Science from Texas A&M University in 2018. Upon earning her bachelor’s degree, Ms. Demeris earned a Doctor of Jurisprudence from South Texas College of Law in 2022. While in law school, Ms. Demeris was involved in the advocacy program and participated in moot court competitions. Ms. Demeris also served as a student attorney at the South Texas College of Law Family Law Clinic.
Prior to joining Brown Sims, Ms. Demeris worked as a family law attorney for two years, where she gained invaluable litigation experience. She is a member of the State Bar of Texas and the Houston Bar Association.
