Ms. Higginbotham joined Brown Sims as a clerk during law school. She became an associate attorney in the firm’s Houston office upon her graduation and licensure.
Ms. Higginbotham’s practice focuses primarily on the defense of claims arising under the Longshore and Harbor Workers’ Compensation Act (LHWCA) and the Defense Base Act (DBA).
Ms. Higginbotham earned a Bachelor of Science in Advertising from the University of Texas at Austin in 2018 and her Doctor of Jurisprudence from South Texas College of Law Houston in 2024. While attending law school, Ms. Higginbotham was a member of the South Texas College of Law Texas Exes organization serving as the marketing director during her second year. Before joining Brown Sims, Ms. Higginbotham was a judicial clerk for the Harris County Civil Courthouse in the 270th district.
