Kacey Faver joined Brown Sims as a clerk during law school. She became an associate attorney in the firm’s Houston office upon her graduation and licensure. Ms. Faver’s practice focuses primarily on the defense of claims arising under the Longshore and Harbor Workers’ Compensation Act (LHWCA) and the Defense Base Act (DBA).
Ms. Faver earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in International Business and a Bachelor of Arts in Foreign Language (Spanish) from Mississippi State University (MSU) in 2020, where she graduated cum laude. While attending MSU, Ms. Faver interned for Congressman Michael Guest in Washington, D.C.
After completing her undergraduate degrees, Ms. Faver earned her Doctor of Jurisprudence from Texas A&M University School of Law in 2024. While in law school, Ms. Faver served as an Articles Editor for the Texas A&M Journal of Property Law and was a member of the Innocence Clinic. Before joining Brown Sims, Ms. Faver interned for the Collin County District Attorney’s Office. Additionally, Ms. Faver clerked for Judge Brody Shanklin of the 211th District Court.
