Mr. Ballard’s practice focuses primarily on complex litigation matters involving insurance coverage in personal injury matters and general civil litigation.
Before joining Brown Sims, Mr. Ballard interned with the Environmental Protection Agency during his last semester of law school and clerked with civil litigation firms in Austin and Lubbock.
He received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Environmental Studies in 2014 from Baylor University. Thereafter, Mr. Ballard received a Doctor of Jurisprudence from Texas Tech University School of Law in 2017, graduating magna cum laude. While in law school, Mr. Ballard earned a number of academic achievement awards, including the 1st Place Appellate Brief Award out of his entire graduating class. He also earned the Top Grade in Water Law, Wind Law, Legal Practice, and Texas Administrative Practice.
Outside of work, Mr. Ballard enjoys spending time with his fiancé, Angela, and his family. He also enjoys cheering on Houston’s sports teams, playing guitar, and telling others his story about his lineage to the notorious outlaw, Billy the Kid.
