Firm News

Brown Sims is pleased to announce the return of accomplished litigator Tarush R. Anand as Shareholder in its Houston office. Tarush rejoins the firm from McGlinchey Stafford, where he served as a Member (Partner) in the litigation practice.

Tarush brings extensive experience in high-stakes civil and commercial litigation, representing clients across diverse industries including construction, energy, hospitality, insurance, manufacturing, retail, and transportation. A seasoned trial and appellate attorney, he has successfully handled complex disputes, tried numerous cases in state and federal courts, and argued before multiple U.S. Courts of Appeals.

Joining Tarush are Of Counsel Alvin D. Houston and Associate Thomas J. Anastos, further bolstering the firm's capabilities. This strategic expansion enhances Brown Sims' general litigation practice, enabling the firm to continue delivering tailored, results-driven solutions to its clients.

"We are thrilled to welcome Tarush back to Brown Sims," said Director and Shareholder Robert M. Browning.   "His proven track record, deep expertise, and client-focused approach align perfectly with our commitment to excellence. With Tarush and his team on board, we are even better positioned to serve our clients in an increasingly complex legal landscape."

Prior to his time at McGlinchey Stafford, Tarush was a Shareholder at Brown Sims, where he achieved notable victories in defense litigation. He is a graduate of the University of Houston Law Center and holds recognitions including selection to Texas Super Lawyers Rising Stars and the Houston Business Journal's 40 Under 40.

Brown Sims looks forward to the continued growth and success of its litigation team with these additions.
