Brown Sims Welcomes Shareholder Hanson Horn and Team to South Florida, New Orleans, and Gulfport Offices
Brown Sims is pleased to announce that accomplished litigator Hanson Horn has joined the firm as a Shareholder, along with associates Nathen Castillo and Alexa Penalta. The group will strengthen the firm’s litigation capabilities across its Florida, New Orleans, and Gulfport offices.
Mr. Horn brings extensive experience representing clients in a broad range of civil litigation matters, including commercial auto, construction, environmental, manufacturing, personal injury, premises liability, products liability, property, toxic tort, workers’ compensation, and wrongful death claims. He also has advised businesses of all sizes on employment-related and transactional matters.
An experienced trial and appellate attorney, Mr. Horn has served as lead trial counsel in both state and federal courts and has tried cases to verdict in Florida, Mississippi, and New York. He also has successfully briefed and argued appellate matters involving premises liability, construction defects, and products liability before appellate courts in each of those states.
Prior to joining Brown Sims, Mr. Horn practiced with a prominent New York-based defense firm, where he served as managing partner of its Florida office. He previously was a partner with a well-established defense firm with offices in New Orleans and along the Mississippi Gulf Coast, representing companies in federal and state courts in matters involving products liability, toxic torts, workers’ compensation, medical malpractice, municipal and governmental liability, employment, and commercial litigation.
A native of the Mississippi Gulf Coast, Mr. Horn earned his law degree from the University of Mississippi School of Law.
Associates Nathen Castillo and Alexa Penalta join Mr. Horn at Brown Sims, further expanding the firm’s ability to provide clients with experienced, practical, and results-driven representation across its growing litigation practice.
