Mr. Ponce’s practice focuses on the defense of claims arising under the Longshore & Harbor Workers’ Compensation Act, the Defense Base Act, and the Texas Workers’ Compensation Act.
Prior to joining Brown Sims, Mr. Ponce worked for a San Antonio based plaintiff’s personal injury firm where he secured favorable settlements for clients involved in auto and trucking accidents, company vehicle accidents, drunk driving accidents, premises liability accidents, and work place accidents. Mr. Ponce also conducted extensive legal research, drafted numerous motions and legal memos, and assisted with trial preparation and support for the firm’s senior civil litigation division.
Mr. Ponce received a Bachelor of Psychology and a Bachelor of Sociology degree in 2014 from Auburn University, and received a Juris Doctor in 2017 from St. Mary’s University, School of Law. He is a Member of the American Bar Association, Houston Bar Association, Texas Young Lawyers Association, and Houston Young Lawyers Association.
