Alejandra M. Celis Tolentino is a Peruvian native, raised in Lima, Peru; New York City; and Texas respectively. Miss Celis is an Associate at the Miami office whose experience lies in handling various types of government contract claims, primarily focusing on Defense Based Act and Longshore and Harbor Workers’ Compensation Claims.
Prior to joining Brown Sims, Miss Celis was an Examiner at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) Division of Exams and interned for the SEC’s Division of Enforcement. Miss Celis has an LL.M. in Securities and Financial Regulation from Georgetown Law. Miss Celis has received recognition by the Association of SEC Alumni (ASECA) for her achievements during her time at Georgetown Law and employment with the SEC.
Miss Celis passed the Florida Bar in July 2022 and the New York Bar February 2023. Miss Celis is a member of Georgetown’s Law Latin American Students Association (LALSA); the Hispanic National Bar Association (HNBA); and the Florida Bar Young Lawyers Division.
During law school she received honorary mention for her academic achievements receiving the Academic Excellence Book Award in White Collar Crime; Corporate Justice; and Criminal Procedure. Miss Celis made her law school’s Dean’s List several semesters and graduated with honors
