Amir Nazarian joined Brown Sims as a law clerk while in law school. He became an associate attorney at the firm’s Houston office upon his graduation and licensure. He focuses his practice primarily on the defense of claims arising under the Longshore and Harbor Workers’ Compensation Act (LHWCA) and the Defense Base Act (DBA). He is a Member of the American Bar Association and Houston Bar Association.
Mr. Nazarian received a Bachelor of Science degree and minored in Chemistry from the University of Houston Main Campus, and a Juris Doctor from South Texas College of Law Houston.
While in law school, Mr. Nazarian had the opportunity of working with the Harris County District Attorney’s Office, the United States Attorney’s Office Civil Division, and was an Article and Note Editor for Currents: Journal of International Economic Law. Prior to joining Brown Sims, Mr. Nazarian began his legal career representing Plaintiffs in a variety of personal injury cases and has now transferred his experiences to the necessities of the defense bar.
Mr. Nazarian is a native Houstonian and in his free time, he enjoys Houston’s numerous restaurants and parks, traveling, visiting museums, and watching movies.
