Chelsea E. Averill, raised in Dallas, Texas, is an associate with the firm whose practice focuses on complex litigation matters including personal injury, general civil litigation, and premises liability.
Prior to joining Brown Sims, Ms. Averill worked in insurance defense litigation handling a wide range of matters including personal injury, breach of contract, construction defect, the Texas Dram Shop Act, insurance coverage, and defense of first party claims.
During law school, Ms. Averill worked in general civil litigation as well as family law and estate planning. Ms. Averill was also a member of the Order of the Barons, and served as Chief Articles Editor on the Houston Journal of Health Law and Policy.
Ms. Averill graduated magna cum laude from Trinity University with a Bachelor of Arts in Religion with a minor in French. She received a Doctor of Jurisprudence from University of Houston Law Center in 2014, graduating cum laude.
