Erendira Cruz joined Brown Sims as a law clerk during law school in the summer of 2022. Upon graduating and earning her licensure, Ms. Cruz became an associate attorney at the firm’s Houston office. Ms. Cruz’s practice focuses primarily on the defense of claims arising under the Longshore and Harbor Workers’ Compensation Act (LHWCA) and the Defense Base Act (DBA).
Ms. Cruz earned a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training from the University of Texas at Arlington in 2015. After earning her bachelor’s degree, Ms. Cruz earned a Doctor of Jurisprudence from Texas A&M University School of Law in 2023. While in law school, Ms. Cruz served as a staff member of the Texas A&M Journal of Property Law and was a member of the moot court team.
Prior to going to law school, Ms. Cruz worked as an athletic trainer for a 6A high school in north Texas for five years. Her problem-solving talents were refined in the healthcare field and apply to her practice today.
