Mr. Shanks received his Bachelor of Science in Public Health with a minor in Mathematics from Xavier University of Louisiana in 2017. Later, he earned a Doctor of Jurisprudence from Thurgood Marshall School of Law at Texas Southern in 2020.

Before joining Brown Sims, he worked as In-House Counsel at Liberty Mutual Insurance Company for four years, where he specialized in Global Financial Crimes. During this time, he gained valuable experience in sanctions, anti-corruption, and anti-money laundering matters.

When he’s not working, Mr. Shanks enjoys going to the movies, assembling Lego sets, and spending time with his loved ones.
