Linda Walton joined Brown Sims as a clerk during law school. She became an associate attorney in the firm’s Houston office upon her graduation and licensure. Ms. Walton’s practice focuses primarily on the defense of claims arising under the Longshore and Harbor Workers’ Compensation Act (LHWCA) and the Defense Base Act (DBA).
Ms. Walton earned a Bachelor of Arts in Human Dimensions of Organizations, a Bachelor of Science in Public Relations, and the Business Foundations Certificate from the University of Texas in 2019. She earned her Doctor of Jurisprudence from South Texas College of Law Houston in 2023, graduating Cum Laude. While attending law school, Ms. Walton was a member of the Phi Delta Phi Legal Honor Society and was recognized as a Presidential Fellow. Ms. Walton was awarded the Deans Merit Scholarship and a CALI Award for Family Law and International Law. Before joining Brown Sims, she interned for the Harris County District Courts, at a plaintiff’s general civil law firm focusing on HOA and property disputes, and at a medical malpractice defense firm
